The link building side was mapping out how I'd actually get other sites pointing at mine. I landed on two ideas, getting listed in app directories and product discovery sites, and pitching guest posts or asking to be included in roundups. In our discussion a classmate planned to ask friends for links every day and I pushed back on that a little. Search engines can tell a link isn't editorial, so I'd rather have a few good ones from sites that actually cover my space.
Then the Google Analytics assignment had us pull twelve numbers out of the demo property for May 2025. The discussion after was the interesting part, that's where we found out we were all getting different answers. Same account, same date range. One question about Pixel device sessions I got 1,297 and a classmate got around 250. Neither of us was making it up, we just pulled it different ways.
That is the same lesson I hit on my own ad campaign. A number doesn't mean much until you know how it was defined.
