This week in MKT 353 was about the groundwork that actually makes a web business run. Picking the right site builder and the right host. My professor used a land vs. building analogy which I really liked. Your host is the land, your site builder is what you put on it, and the two decisions need to make sense together.

The biggest thing I took away is that there's no one size fits all answer. If you're using a drag and drop builder like Wix, the hosting comes bundled. But if you're coding your own site like I did (this website as well!), you need to think separately about where it lives digitally. Since I'm building mine manually, I went with Vercel. it connects to GitHub and deploys automatically, which is how I want it to work.

I also finalized my product idea this week. My app, ChooseAMovie, scored highest across every criteria I cared about, so it's official!
