Google Ads and keywords were the whole focus this week, and it turned out to be the most hands on stretch of the course. I logged into my real Google Ads account and built a search campaign for my app from the ground up. Conversion tracking went in. I set a daily budget and lined everything up to run with real money behind it.

The keywords took more work than I expected. My first list was way too long. I kept cutting until I was left with terms that actually pointed to someone ready to use the app. A word like "free" looked fine on the surface, but it would have brought in people who were looking for something my app isn't. Those went straight into the negative list to keep them out.

The best part was crossing over from planning into building. Once the campaign was planned the marketing was not bad.
